Originally from Dublin, Ireland, I graduated from the University of Salford in Manchester in 2021.
Growing up, sport played a huge role in his life. Owen was involved in Gaelic football, hurling, rugby union and tennis, before spending several years playing tennis at a semi-professional level. His own experience with injury and rehabilitation supported by some exceptional physiotherapists inspired him to pursue a career in physiotherapy.
Throughout Owen's career, he's be able to worked across a broad range of clinical settings including paediatrics, acute respiratory care in ICU, and neurological rehabilitation on stroke units. Since 2023, he specialised in orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy, where he felt most at home.
Owen particularly enjoy treating sporting injuries, movement-based dysfunctions, and helping clients return to the activities they love, whether that’s getting back onto the field, into the gym, or simply moving more freely in everyday life. He has a strong interest in strength and skill-based rehabilitation, combining traditional physiotherapy with progressive, movement-focused approaches to build resilience, mobility and confidence.
Outside of the clinic, you will find Owen spending a lot of time developing his own movement skills. He enjoys gymnastics-style training, including rings, flexibility work, and handstand practice. Owen believes many of the principles from this type of training can be adapted into rehabilitation to help clients achieve meaningful, long-term results.
Away from movement, He has a deep appreciation for nature, travel, meditation and breathwork. Whether it’s hiking along the rugged Atlantic coastline back home in Ireland or exploring places like Patagonia, the Andes and the Amazon and looking forward to exploring what the NT has to offer.
Owens motto is to help people move better, feel stronger, and get more out of life.
